Q. My website is down and this is what the server provider gave me. Please help. Thank you in advance.
Your domain is not accessible because the DNS service will not start. Here is the error:
-----
Operation start with the VPS(s) VEID426 service "named" is finished with errors: #703 Can not start/stop/restart service: Starting named: Error in named configuration: zone 0.0.127.IN-ADDR.ARPA/IN: loaded serial 20010622 zone rizingbandzradio.com/IN: has no NS records _default/rizingbandzradio.com/IN: bad zone zone 160.150.64.in-addr.arpa/IN: loaded serial 1186110987 [FAILED].
-----
We offer very limited support on VPS servers. I suggest checking your /etc/named.conf file to ensure your DNS entries are setup correctly on the server.

A. You have configuration problem with your DNS named.conf .
Actually the error is very specific. It does state that you have no NS records defined for rizingbandzradio.com zone. Maybe you didn't configure that zone properly, but it is also possible that you have a space missing or carriage return in the wrong place. Every time you restart named process, check in the /var/log/messages for possible errors.
Take a look at the following link for additional information.

I can't connect to my vps using putty...?
Q. I can't connect to mys server using putty ssh connection, i type root it says access denied then it asks for the password, I type it, nothing happens, I tried other ssh clients like tunnelier, I can login using them but when i type the password it takes a really really long time to login and every time I type a command, I have to wait years for it to be executed, and sometimes it disconnects, last month I had a slower internet connectionfrom another provider and a cheap and it used to connect so fast, today i have a faster internet connection from my current provider and a better vps and it does what it does... I disabled the avg firewall and i have the same result...I asked my american partner to try and connect through putty and everything is fine when he tries it, even my hosting company tell me that everything is find and believe them.
So is there anyway for me to fix it? Is my router blocking putty? should i configure it? Does my current internet provider have something to do with it? Could I fix it because my provider doesn't anything about these stuff so he will not be able to help. I'm using a centos 5 32 bit by the way.
I just have tried to login using my brother's pc, it says server blockedc connection or something like thay, we use the same internet.

A. Have you tried bypassing your router and connecting directly to the modem when establishing your SSH session? This would help determine whether the router is at fault or not. It certainly sounds like it's either an issue with your ISP or Router/Modem. You really shouldn't have to do any additional configuration on your router to establish a SSH session though.
If your server is far aware it may be that one of the nodes or routes your traffic took is no longer available. It may be wise to try running a Trace-Route to your servers IP to see where the bottleneck is. If you use Linux as your Desktop OS I recommend using MTR instead of Trace-Route. There is also a Windows version called WinMTR. You can simply move the executable to your C:\Windows\system32 directory to run it through Command Line.
Good-Luck!

How to run a Virtual Machine on a website?
Q. I would like to make a website that is basically a VM stored on the web server. I would use a free website tool like WordPress or Weebly or Google sites. I would like it to run an early form of windows or a resource friendly Linux distro. I might even decide to run FREE-DOS. Is this possible if the website allows you to upload content, or would I have to use JavaScript/HTML-code?
Any help/tips on doing this would be greatly appreciated.

A. Not going to happen. The only way to do it is to do it locally. A real webhost - and certainly not a free one - would not allow it.
You may also want to look into a dedicated server - that way you are responsible for fixing the machince - or you can pay management to fix it, or possibly a vps. You are still responsible for fixing whatever breaks.
