There is one netbook at my local best-buy, I am not sure of the brand, but it has an 8.5 hour battery life and it is $299. Happy shopping :)
Also, just keep in mind that you can get a lower end full sized laptop, with better specs, such as an Acer for between $299 and $399. I have an Acer Aspire with 3GB Ram and a dual core that I paid $249 for at walmart.
